Myth #1: You Need to Change Your Oil Every 3,000 Miles

While there was a time when oil should be changed every 3,000 miles, modern vehicles can go for at least 7,000 miles before they need an oil change. Every vehicle is a little bit different, so consult your owner's manual to find out how long you should go without an oil change.
